Illustrative example: meaningless messages flood a form. Protection is strengthened, submissions drop, and the team relaxes. Days later, a regular customer says they cannot send a normal request. The silence is not quite the result everyone wanted.
Protection helps when it reduces automated rubbish while preserving a clear route for people. Submission counts alone are insufficient. Test both suspicious enquiries and a genuine visitor's successful journey.
Not every awkward enquiry is spam
An incorrect number, short question or repeat enquiry is not necessarily from a bot. Someone may be rushing, using another contact format or unsure whether the first attempt succeeded.
Take an anonymised sample and separate causes: obvious automated junk, employee tests, genuine repeat enquiries and incomplete requests. Otherwise you can become excellent at keeping customers out while leaving the underlying problem unresolved.
Name someone to review disputed records. Automatic deletion without review turns a classification mistake into a lost enquiry.
What to check in Bitrix24
A CRM form is a questionnaire sending information into a customer management system. The official guide describes anti-spam settings using CAPTCHA, a check against automated submissions. Protection service options are available in the editor.
This neither guarantees zero spam nor proves that every external service works on every network. Test the specific option under your visitors' conditions. Consider form settings and plan restrictions too.
A custom form on another website may follow different rules. Establish who maintains its code and server-side processing. A visible page check alone does not prove that the server accepts only verified requests.
Walk through the entire customer journey
Test on a phone and computer, in an ordinary window and without previous authentication. Do not rely solely on the administrator's device, where permissions and saved settings may already be in place.
In a training test for visitors from Kazakhstan, check the languages used, name and phone formats, and networks actually available. International formatting must not accidentally become a requirement for another country's number.
Make a normal input mistake. People should understand what to correct without losing everything they entered. If protection fails to load, the message should explain the next step rather than leave a button spinning forever.
Check more than the thank-you screen
After a training submission, find the CRM record and check the contact, enquiry content and owner. Confirm that a manager can actually continue the conversation.
Submit again and examine the outcome. This does not mean blocking all repeats: customers sometimes change their questions. Understand how a repeat enquiry is stored and who distinguishes it from a technical duplicate.
After changing protection, watch real error reports and enquiry quality. Compare test conditions; a falling counter alone does not establish improved effectiveness.
Start with one form
Preserve the original settings and agree who approves changes. Change one understandable part, verify the outcome and then move to the next. A single failed attempt is not a reason to disable protection permanently either.
If a form obstructs customers or brings too much junk, discuss the process with QQDev. Show the page, an example error and the intended enquiry journey. A custom form first needs its design and integration conditions checked, rather than a promise of a universal one-button fix.
