Website or social media? Before the first “Order” button

Choose a customer entry point without building a large website before establishing a clear path from a question to a response.

A hypothetical workshop shows its work on social media, but every employee gives a different answer about delivery times. The owner decides: “We urgently need a website.” Perhaps. First establish which problem it should solve.

A website gives you control over how information about your offer is organised. Social media supports conversation and updates. CRM manages customer inquiries. These tools can complement each other, but do not replace the responsibility to reply.

Define the visitor’s next action first

After viewing the page, the person should do something specific: request an estimate, check availability, or arrange a discussion. “Learn about our company” does little to define the first step.

List what a person must know before getting in touch. Furniture estimates need examples and an explanation of which measurements to prepare. A service needs a clear outcome and discussion terms. If staff repeat important information every time, a dedicated page may help.

Not every business needs a large catalogue. A single page with a clear offer and a working contact method can be enough initially.

When social media can remain your starting point

If the current page explains the offer clearly, inquiries arrive conveniently, and none are lost, improve handling first. A new website will not fix a message queue nobody opens.

Follow the journey of someone unfamiliar with you. Can they see what you do, where you work, which languages they can use, and what happens next? For customers in Kazakhstan, offer a clear language choice rather than inferring it from a phone number.

Links and current terms should be available without searching through old posts.

Connecting entry to the team’s work

One Bitrix24 option is a CRM form: an online questionnaire that sends an inquiry into the system. The official documentation describes embedding it on a website or opening it through a public link sent in a messenger.

This can test a scenario before a larger project. Form settings, agreements, ownership, and subsequent actions require separate checking. Confirm feature availability and portal terms beforehand. A form guarantees neither sales nor automatic handling of every social-media message.

If you already use another CRM, check its inquiry collection options first. Moving to Bitrix24 is not a prerequisite for a clear entry point.

Walk through it as a buyer

  1. Open the page on a phone without signing into work accounts.
  2. Find the offer and contact method.
  3. Send a test inquiry without real personal data.
  4. Confirm an employee received it and knows the next step.
  5. Check the confirmation message: the customer should know what to expect.

Treat attracting visitors and handling inquiries as separate jobs. An attractive storefront with nobody responsible inside is a very polite closed door.

What to discuss before development

Bring your current page link, an inquiry example, and the visitor action you want. QQDev connects websites with Bitrix24 and configures subsequent inquiry handling. Use the integrations page to discuss the journey and determine whether you need a new website or should first connect existing tools.
